Arrival in Tashkent by international flight, passing border and passport control.

Meeting, welcoming tourists, transfer to hotel and check –in after 14:00.

Excursion is along Tashkent:
Visit the architectural complex “Khazret-Imam” incl. necropolis of imam Abu Bakr Muhammad al-Kaffal Shashi who was one of the first Muslim imams and a famous divine and poet (16th c), “Barak-khan Medressa” – built by Suyunidj-khan – the first ruler of the Uzbek dynasty of the Sheibanid’s (16th c), “Tellya Sheikh Medressa” also called “Khast Imom Mosque” where Osman Quran – the world’s oldest is kept (19th c), “Juma Mosque” (15-19th cc);
Visiting oriental Chor Su Bazaar, where tourists will be offered to walk between the rows of oriental sweets and dried fruits, fresh fruits, hot Uzbek breads and spicy spices.

Dinner in one of the national restaurants “Rayhon”, “La Piola” or “Soi”. During the dinner tourists can taste a traditional Tashkent dish “Narin”.

Narin is selected lamb and beef, horse sausage – kazy, onions, finely chopped dough, vegetable oil and a set of spices.

Overnight is in Tashkent.

Early breakfast is in the hotel.
06:30 – Transfer to the railway station.
07:30 – Departure to Samarkand by the Afrosiob high-speed train (subject to change) (350 km).
09:38 – Arrival in Samarkand. Meeting at the station. Hotel check-in is after 12:00.

Excursion in Samarkand
The architectural complex Shahi-Zinda (Alive king) – necropolis on the slope of the Afrosiab hill is connected with Kusam ibn Abbas – the cousin of Prophet Muhammad (11-15th c). Gur Emir Mausoleum – Tamerlan’s tomb (14-15th c.) that was built for Temur’s grandson Muhammad-Sultan and the tombs of three other Temurids – sons of Temur – Miranshah and Shahruh and his grandson Ulugbek, Ruhabad Mausoleum (“House of Spirit”)(external visit) – the legend says that under the dome there is a box with seven hairs of Prophet Muhammad (14th c.), Registan Square (“A sandy place”) – the major square of Samarkand: Ulugbeg Madrassah – Sheikh Khodja Akhrar and poet Djami were among outstanding graduates of the Madrassah (15th c.), Sher-Dor Madrassah (“Having tigers”) (17th c.), Tillya-Kari Madrassah (“Coated by gold”) – the rich gilding on the dome, walls and mihrab surpassed all other famous buildings in Central Asia (17th c.). Cathedral mosque Bibi-Khanym that was named after the oldest wife of Tamerlan (14th c.) and world famous Samarkand bazaar – “Siyob”.

17:00 – Visit to the Winemaking Museum named Khovrenko, where tourists can taste different varieties of Uzbek wines.

Lunch between the excursions will take place in a national house with a local resident. The main dish is the true Uzbek “Dimlama”.

Dimlama is a traditional Uzbek dish consisting of stewed mutton or beef, fattened cabbage, carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic, green and a set of spices.

Dinner with a master class for cooking the famous Samarkand “Plov” will be held in the national house.

Samarkand pilaf – lamb or beef, fattened fat, rice, carrots, onions, peas, garlic, vegetable oil and a set of spices, special skills of the cook and the air of Samarkand.

Overnight is in Samarkand.

Breakfast is in the hotel.
08:00 – Departure to Bukhara by car (280 km).
12:30 – Arrival in Bukhara.

Walking excursion along old city
Complex “Poi Kalon” (“Beneath the Great”): “Kalyan Minaret” – the main symbol of sacred Bukhara that symbolized authority and power of spiritual governors. (12th c), “Kalyan Mosque”– its area of 130×80 m surpasses Bibi-Khanym mosque in Samarkand, “Miri Arab Madrassah” – active madrassah is one of the most esteemed spiritual Islamic universities (16th c), “Taki Zargaron” – the dome of jewelers (15-16th cc), “Ulugbeg Madrassah” – one of the 3 madrassahs constructed by grandson of Tamerlan – Ulugbeg (15th c), “Abdulaziz-khan Madrassah” – a traditional madrassah with 2 floors of hudjras and a mosque on the central axis ( mid. of 17th c), “Tim of Abdullah-Khan madrassah” (1588-1590), atlas shops, “Magoki-Attari Mosque” – the most ancient mosque in Bukhara (12th c) is considered a masterpiece of Bukhara architecture, “Khanaka and madrassah of Nadir Divan-Beghi” – a massive rectangular structure that was a place for the refuge and meditation of Sufis (17th c), “Kukeldash Madrassah“ (16th c) – one of the biggest Bukhara madrassah, “Lyabi-Hauz” ensemble – the largest artificial reservoir of medieval Bukhara – is very popular among tourists (14-17th cc).

Lunch is in the national house U Dostana. During lunch, tourists will try the soup “Mokhara shurpa” and Bukhara “Kabob” (Shashlyk).

Mokhara shurpa is a rich broth consisting of mutton or beef, small ruffled fatty fat, potatoes, carrots, onions, peas nukhat (peas), greens and a set of spices.

Bukhara “Kabob” is the tenderest meat of a young lamb, marinated in fragrant spices, strung on a short skewer mixed with thin slices of mutton interior fat (dumba) and fried on a grill.

During the dinner in the national house, guests can get acquainted with the process of cooking “Uzbek Manti” and try it.

Uzbek Manti is a very popular and widespread dish of Uzbek home cooking, which is prepared on a steam. For preparing this dish requires vegetable oil, beef meat, stuffing box, onion, dough, salt and spices.

Excursion along Bukhara
“Mausoleum of the Samanids” – the most ancient brick building in Central Asia, a masterpiece of world architecture (9-10th c). The mausoleum of Chashma Ayub that belongs to esteemed “places of trace” left by saints (14th c). – the legend says that once the bible prophet Job (Ayub) visited this place. Museum of Imam Al Bukhari. “Bolo-Houz” Mosque – the only monument of medieval Bukhara (beg. of 20th c), “Ark fortress” – the center of Bukhara statehood (4th c BC).
Visiting of “Sitora-i-Mokhi Khosa Palace” (XIX-XX), once the country residence of the last emir. Here you can see one of the best examples of palatial architecture. So called “White Hall” with its Guncha carvings with mirror layer are of exceptional beauty, “Chor Minor” (“Four minarets”) is an unusual madrassah built by Caliph Niyazkul (18th c). Visiting the Complex of Bahaaddin Naqshbandi (XVI century). Not far from Bukhara is the memorial of the patron of Bukhara – Sheikh Bahauddin Naqshbandi (died 1389). The worship of the holy grave of the sheikh was equated with the commission of a hajj to Mecca.

For lunch, which will be in the national house, the Uzbek “Mostava” and “Samsa” will be served.

Mostava is a national soup made up of finely chopped meat, vegetables and rice.

Samsa is a kind of patty of an arbitrary (square, triangular or round) shape with a filling. For its preparation it’s needed vegetable oil, lamb meat or beef, fattened fat, onions, special dough and a set of spices.

Dinner will be organized in the national house with the famous Bukhara dish “Baracha” (fried meat of a young lamb).

Overnight is in Bukhara.

09:00 – Drive to Khiva via Kyzylkum desert (430 km).
Lunch is free (stop on the road according to clients’ wishes).
17:00 – Arrival in Khiva and accommodation in a hotel.

For dinner, which will be held in the national house, the popular Khorezm “Tukhum-Barak” with a master class for its preparation.

Tukhum-barak – in translation means a boiled egg, but in appearance it reminds someone of envelopes with stuffing, someone’s dumplings or vareniks, someone ravioli. The peculiarity of the dish is that the eggs, as fillings, are not boiled, but raw. This dish is prepared from flour, eggs, milk, vegetable oil, salt and pepper.

Overnight is in Khiva.

Excursion around Khiva:
Architectural ensemble of Ichan-Kala – “Museum in the open air”.
Mausoleum of Pahlavan Makhmud (XVII-XIX), Tosh-Khowli Palace (Harem) (1830-1836), Kunya-Ark Fortress (1868-1888), Kalta-Minor Minaret (1855), Madrassah of Shergazi-Khan (1718-1720), Complex of Alla-Kuli Khan (XIII-XVIII), Juma Mosque and Minaret (XII-XX). Karavan-Saray (XVIII), Minaret and Mosque of Khodja-Islam (1908-1910), Tim of Ala-Kulikhan (XIX), Madrassah of Abdulla-Khan (1865), Mausoleum of Said Alautdin (XIV), Madrassah of Mukhamad Amin-Khan (XIX), Walls of Ichan-Kala (XVIII-XIX), Palvan-Darvaza Gate (XIX).
(Architectural complex of Ichan-Kala is a mini town and excursion is held inside of Ichon-Kala by walk).

Lunch will be organized in the national cafe, where tourists will have the opportunity to try the local delicacy “Shivit osh”.

Shivit osh – this Khiva delicacy is a variant of the lagman, the dough for which is traditionally kneaded on dill noodles (“shivit” – dill) and the following ingredients are used for its preparation: flour, water, egg, dill, salt, meat, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, katyk and vegetable oil.

Dinner at the restaurant in the national style. For dinner meat rolls “Zarafshan”.

Kiyma “Zarafshan” is also one of the varieties of local dishes, which is prepared only in Khorezm. It is prepared from mutton or beef, onion, egg, vegetable oil, butter, zir, fennel, salt and ground black pepper.

19:30 – Transfer to the airport.
21:00 – Departure to Tashkent by flight HY58 (subject to change).
23:45 – Arrival in Tashkent. Meeting is at the airport. Transfer and check in a hotel.
