The Indian daily newspaper The Economic Times, the second most popular business newspaper in the world, published an article about high-speed Afrosiab trains in Uzbekistan.

The author of the article is Dipanjan Roy, participant of the infotour, organized by the State Committee for Tourism for foreign journalists in the framework of Tourism Exhibition 2017, spoke about some of the advantages of this train.

In particular, the article is about new railroads connecting the main tourist centers of Uzbekistan with each other. In the near future such trains will run between all major cities of the country, delivering passengers to their destinations quickly and safely.

For example, the route between the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand with a length of 344 km took 2 hours, and the TashkentBukhara road with a length of 600 km – only 3 hours and 20 minutes.

“Japan is investing technology and financial resources for the way of Mumbai-Ahmedabad. The foundation of the project was laid by the Prime Minister of Japan when he visited Gujarat in the framework of the Indian-Japanese summit.

The railway with high-speed trains connecting Tashkent with historical cities such as Samarkand and Bukhara is exactly the model of the example for India that will serve the development of the tourism industry”, Dipanjan Roy stressed.
