The State Committee for Tourism welcomed the Deputy Chairman of the Altai Region

On 22nd November, 2017 it was hold metting in the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the development of tourism the meeting of the Deputy Chairman of the State Tourism Committee Sh. Sharakhmetov with Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Altai Region V.Mesheryakov.
Thepurpose of the metting was increasing of mutual touirst flow between two countris, promotion of Altai Region potensial in Uzbekistan and tourpotetion of Uzbekistan in Russian market, an increase in the frequency of flights between the regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation and etc.
During the meeting V. Meshcheryakov acquainted the Uzbek side with the tourist potential of the Altai Region and shared information about the measures taken to increase the tourist flow to the Altai Region from the regions of the Russian Federation and from abroad. It was offered to consider the use of resort areas for Uzbek tourists, as well as the promotion of the national tourism potential of Uzbekistan among the Russian audience by using the opportunities of the mass media.
By his side Sh.Sharakhmetov supported the guest’s proposals on the need for joint development of tourist potentials and informed the members of the Russian delegation about the measures being taken in the Republic of Uzbekistan to create favorable conditions for tourists arriving in the republic. So, at the moment, It is being conducted targeted work to attract foreign investors to participate in ongoing investment projects for the construction of modern hotels, tourist zones and other accommodation facilities by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the development of tourism.
The Russian side supported the initiative of the leadership of our country to create the necessary conditions for foreign tourists and proposed to consider the issue of accepting Russian and Uzbek tourists in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation in order to increase the mutual tourist flow between the two countries, taking into account the complementary climatic conditions of the two countries. Also, the Russian side informed about the existing potential for the development of winter tourism.
The Russian side suggested considering the issue of establishing bilateral cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and Russia at the level of cooperation between tourism associations and delicacies of the two countries.
At the same time V. Mescheryakov said that the Russian side is cooperating with the Uzbek tourist companies “Advantour” and “Novatour”. The parties agreed to find common ground to increase mutual tourist flow.
The Uzbek side supported the initiative of the Russian side and expressed its readiness to provide the necessary assistance within its authority.
In this regard, the delegation of the Russian Federation requested assistance in resolving the following issues:
– providing information on the tourism potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan for further distribution to the Russian audience;
– the provision of tourist packages, including the use of the available resort and recreational facilities;
– establishment of cooperation between tourism associations and associations of the two countries;
– rendering assistance in organizing tours to the Altai Region for Uzbek tourist companies.
