The number of tourists who came from Russia in 2018 almost tripled compared with 2017 (371.5 thousand people).

The system of double customs corridor, introduced in 2018 at the airports of the republic, played a major role in increasing the flow.
According to the State Committee for Tourism Development, the total number of tourists entering the republic in 2018 was 5.3 million (1.96 times more than in 2017), including 4.6 million from neighboring countries of Central Asia.
