Termez is the administrative center of Surkhandarya region and one of the oldest cities in Central Asia. It is located on the right bank of the Amu Darya yards. Bordering with Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, Termez is about 20 thousand sq. km. In the entire history of the city, it was conquered several times by different rulers and was repeatedly renamed.
