Uzbek cooks have won at the 21st International Culinary Festival in Istanbul.

From 18 to 21 December this year, the 21st International Gastronomic Culinary Festival was held in Istanbul, where representatives of the Uzbek Chefs’ Association took part.
A team of Uzbek chefs wowed the jury at the prestigious international competition ‘Istanbul Gastronomy Festival 2024’ in Istanbul, winning the Grand Prix and a number of awards in individual categories.
Results:
– Grand Prix (1st place, gold) – Nazira Alimatova, Mahfuza Rakhimova
– Grand Prix (bronze, juniors) – Nazokat Zhuraeva, Ozodbek Sunnatov, Ayubkhon Avazov.
Individual awards:
– Nazira Alimatova – gold, pasta
– Makhfuza Rakhimova – gold, modern cousin
– Nazokat Zhuraeva – gold, modern cousin
– Ozodbek Sunnatov – gold, mutton
– Ayubkhon Avazov – silver, beef.
The festival was attended by chefs from all over the world, as well as world-class judges from different parts of the world.
The prizes won by Uzbeks on the basis of rigorous competitive nominations by the jury of world-renowned culinary experts are a testimony to the high achievements of Uzbek cuisine and the abilities of the country’s young generation, who carry Uzbekistan’s traditions to the world community at a worthy level.
