State Committee for Tourism reports that Uzbekistan has developed a standard for information signs of the navigation system in the field of tourism

The main task is to popularize tourist facilities of the republic. Therefore, signs should help travelers navigate in unfamiliar terrain.

Road signs with a brown background are designed to be installed on roads that are used by foreign tourists. The inscriptions on the signs indicating the object of infrastructure (city, street, museum, stadium, etc.) and geographical objects. They are applied in the state and English languages.

By developing the standard, Uzbek specialists studied the experience of other CIS countries and EU countries.
