Bridge of Friendship is still operating bridge, which connects Uzbekistan with the port city of Afghanistan- Hairatan.

Today’s bridge is 816 meters long, built in the Soviet time (1981) at the peak of the Afghan war. The name of the bridge was given in the hope for a speedy end of the war and the establishment of friendship between nations.
