One of the biggest buildings in Khiva considered madrassah Shergazi Khan, located in the center of Ichan-Kala.

Prisoners’ of Shergazi Khan built the madrassah.

Graduates of the madrassah were such famous personalities as P. Ravnak (Uzbek poet) and Makhtumkuli (classic poetry).
