There is only monument of architecture in Ichan Kala, which dome is painted in a sky-blue color and covered with glazed tiles. It was built in honor of the hero Pakhlavan Mahmud.There are many legends about this historical personality. One of them says that thanks to his wit he freed many people from a prison.Today the name of Pahlavan Mahmud is equated with the saints, and his tomb is the places of pilgrimage.
