Near the eastern gate of Ichan-Kala has settled one of the most beautiful medieval architectural structures of Khiva- Ak-mosque.

Construction of the mosque was divided into several stages: while the foundation of the mosque was being built during the reign of Anushkhan, construction itself had ended only during the reign of Kungrad dynasty.

Despite its simple architecture, Ak Mosque stands out from the other monuments of Ichan-Kala.
