Karatepa is Buddhist place of worship, houses the monasteries and temples. A feature of Karatepa considered compatible caves in sandstone with external structures.
Still today, visitors can see ancient images and inscriptions in Arabic, Syrian, Persian, Sogdian, ancient Bactrian languages on the walls of the cave.
