The ecological problem of Uzbekistan, which has already carried an international character, is associated with the drying of the Aral Sea. The reason for this is considered human intervention in the ecological system of the Aral Sea. However, more recently, the Aral Lake was the fourth largest lake around the world and could be proud of its exceptional natural resources.

According to some projections, the Aral Sea will disappear entirely by 2020.
