Festival of mulberry
One of the spring festivals held in the end of spring is the festival of mulberry. The people of Middle Asia from ancient times respected mulberry much, considering that its sacred, and the hosts of the houses where mulberry grew, were considered as prosperous and successful.
The largest event devoted to the mulberry tree and the mulberry fruits was called the festival of mulberry and usually celebrated in the area, where many trees of mulberry grew. There arent any traditions and rules in celebrating this event. If the harvest of mulberry is a usual work, mass going out of people to the nearest gardens where mulberry grows is considered as The festival of mulberry, i.e. considered as a big holiday.
Even though this celebration is held among one or some families, it is a very merry event. During the celebrations several sorts of mulberry are picked, and from this mulberry prepared different dishes. Usually in this event participate women and children. The event consists of performances and competitions, people dance and sing.
