FAMILY TREE
FAMILY TREE

Old people knew well their family tree, dynasty and ancestors. Turki nations are traditionally divided into three large groups: korluk-chigils, kipchoks and oguz. All Turki people descend from these three generations and further divided into smaller families. Our nation consists of hundreds of families, which merged with each other for thousand years and formed present Uzbek nation.

Nevertheless, Turki nations have tried to keep their family trees. For instance, eshons dynasty (ecclesiastic), Uzbek old manthe origin of which is related with the kins of khodja and sayid, has never married off their daughters to the members of other dynasties. This tradition exists till now.

Say the man descends from the dynasty of kongirats, which is widespread and the largest kin in Central Asia, can have distant relatives among Kazakh or Kyrgyz nations. Similarly, representatives of kipchaks dynasty can be found among Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz and Karakalpaks, while oguz dynasty includes and connects with family ties the people of Horazm, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkey.

Kongirats are divided into 30 small groups. According to the one research, 28 of these groups live in the territory of Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions of Uzbekistan. Only two groups live the territory of Kazakhstan, but they are significantly large in number.

In ancient times when Central Asia and Kazakhstan were divided they are called Turon Zamin and consisted of Eastern Turkestan (from China to Tashkent), Mavorounnahr (the territory between Syrdarya and Amudarya) and Khorasan (from Amudarya to Iran).

Our ancestors from generation to generations have aspired to preserve, strengthen and increase the authority as well as influence of their families and dynasties. For example, kongirats set up yurtas in fertile lands and mainly engaged with breeding of cattle, horses and camels. Kenegas tribes guided caravans and traded in the territories of Southern China, Eastern Turkestan and India, Iran and Turan. Barlos tribe was famous for its many military commanders; they were traditionally skillfully possessed weapons. Djaloir people were also famous for its brave warriors the large of whom did their living by this activity.

In this way old people lead their family tree and became dynasties. All of this took place in accordance with who their ancestors were and what their profession was. And genealogical tree was determined depending on which dynasty particular family came from. It is interesting to see the family tree of famous people. For example, the dynasty of Temurids originates from barlos tribe and is divided in the following way:: the son of Bahodir Taragay Amir Temur, the son of Amir Temur Shokhrukh mirzo, his offspring Mirzo Ulugbek, the son of Ulugbek - Abdullatifmirzo

And here is the family tree of Bobur Mirzo:the son of emir Bahodir Taragay Amir Temur, the third son of Djakhongir (Ruler) Mironshokh Sulton Muhammad Mirzo Sulton Abdusayid, successor of Abdusayid Mirzo Umarshaykh, Umarshaykhs son Mirzo Zakhiriddin Muhammad Bobur, offspring of Bobur Mirzo Khumoyun Mirzo, Khumoyuns son Akbarshokh and etc.

It is clear that family tree has many offshoots. The knowledge of ones origin from mothers side, family tree of brothers and sisters make genealogical tree more accurate and large.
