The village Zangiata (15 km from Tashkent) is famous for its historical complex Zangiata where rests sheikh Ay-Khodja who was a follower of the great Ahmad Yassavi, and his wife Ambar-bibi. The mausoleum was built by Tamerlane, and then were added the madrassah (18 century), a mosque (19th century), Minaret (20th century). The complex also includes an ancient cemetery and the source of holy water. In the years of independence, the ensemble was renovated and ennobled.
