Mausoleum of Yunus Khan is one of the most unusual buildings in Central Asia during Tamerlan’s era, representing a T-shape. However, little is known, in honor of whom had been erected such a structure. It is known that Yunus Khan was engaged in political activities, being a descendant of Genghis Khan and grandfather of Zahiridinn Muhammad Babur (a direct descendant of Tamerlane). Today the mausoleum is a part of the Islamic University.
